Brazil Tourist Visa Requirements For U.S. Citizens

  1.  Skyline Passport $ Visa order form

      You need to fill out this order form online, print it, and then mail it to us with the rest of the documents below.

   2. Visa application

       Submit 1 copy of the visa application form. Print, sign, and fill out completely.

   3. Passport photos

       Submit 2 passport photos. Photos must be 2×2, color, with a plain light or white background, and show a full front             view of the face.

   4. Current passport - Signature field must be signed and passport must have at least 6 months validity from day of                return.

   5. Airline tickets or itinerary

      Copy of airline tickets or itinerary showing name of passenger, arrival and departure dates.

   6. Proof of Residence

      A copy of a valid Driver's License or ID Card, or copy of a utiltiy bill with name and address. (must be notarized if it is         from Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Carolina,           Tennessee, or Texas)

   7. Proof of Funds:
      Applicants living in Alabama, Georgia, Maine, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Tennessee,         and Vermont must provide a copy of their most recent bank statement or credit card statement showing the applicant's       name, address, statement date, and current or ending balance.
      Applicants living in Florida, Puerto, or the U.S. Virgin Islands must provide a copy of their last three bank statements           showing the applicant's name, address, statement date, and ending balance of at least $2000.
      Applicants living in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina and Tennessee must provide a notarized copy of             proof of funds documents.

    8. Personal Letter
       Applicants living in Florida, Puerto Rico or the US Virgin Islands - A personal letter from the applicant addressed to the        Embassy of Brazil explaining the purpose of the trip, dates of travel, cities to be visited, and place of accommodation.

    9. Sponsor Letter (applicable if participating in athletic or performing arts events or competition)
       Copy of letter from sponsor with detailed information on the event and condition of attendance

   10 Additional required documents for minors (under 18):

  • A notarized copy of the minor's birth certificate.

  • A notarized letter of consent signed by the non-accompanying parent(s) or guardian authorizing the consulate to issue a visa (Please contact PVS for assistance with the applicable minor authorization form, which is based on the state of jurisdiction).

  • For applicants between the ages of 3 months and 6 years, a certificate of vaccination against Polio is required.

    11. Duration of Stay
         Visa is valid for ten years (for US citizens). The period of stay in Brazil, of each entry, may be between 30 days to 3            months, and no more than six months stay during any 12 months period.
